Retired from Tennsco in 1992. Enjoyed fishing tremendously with his sons and watching baseball games on t.v.

Obituary:

Funeral services for Marvin J. Lamirand, 65, of Dickson, were held at 1 p.m., Aug. 17, 1993, at the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Warren Medley officiating. Burial was in Rock Church Cemetery.

Mr. Lamirand died Aug. 14 at the Hickman County Hospital. He was a native of Oklahoma, born Sept. 5, 1927, the son of the late Oscar Lamirand and Lillie Newell. He was a laborer for Tennsco. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Dickson.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Lamirand of Burns, four sons, DeWayne Lamirand of Dickson, Chip Lamirand of Dickson, Randy Pickens of California, and Robby Pickens of Dickson; four daughters, Linda Caban of Oklahoma, Helen Murphy of Burns, Kathy Tremblay of Cumberland Furnace and Lillie Swaw of White Bluff; two brothers, T.J. "Bill" Lamirand of Oklahoma and Charles Lamirand of Texas; two sisters, Ruth Vitenheimer of Oklahoma, and Betty Howell of Texas; and 15 grandchildren.
