Monroe Sechrist, a lifelong resident of Cromwell township, died at 6:05 p.m. Monday, January 28, 1935, at his home. He suffered a stroke of paralysis four years ago and had been bedfast since that time.

Mr. Sechrist was born on February 6, 1865, in Cromwell township, and was a son of John and Elizabeth Ellen (Wolfkill) Sechrist, both deceased. At the time of death he was aged 69 years, 11 months and 22 days.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Laura Belle (Grove) Sechrist and these sons and daughters: Mrs. Katharine Grove of Orbisonia; Mrs. Annie Myers, of Rockhill Furnace; Lloyd Sechrist, of Johnstown; Abraham Sechrist of Williamsburg; Mrs. Zada Bucher, at home; Mrs. Grace Critz, of Shirleysburg, R.D.; and Mrs. Gladys Yingling, of Three Springs. Twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.

This evening the body will be taken to the home of Mrs. Katharine Grove, of Orbisonia and funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, January 31, at the Methodist church at Orbisonia, in charge of Rev Hanawalt, of McVeytown and Rev. Swayne. Dick's funeral service.
