His birth name was Michael Noel Quinn, but he took his stepfather's name, McAloney.
He died May 16 at the Actor's Fund Home, Englewood, NJ. He appeared in numerous plays and television programs including Witness for the Prosecution, The Hostile Witness and others. He directed and produced plays throughout the world including his native Ireland, England, South Africa, U.S. and Canada. He produced Borstal Boy on Broadway and won the 1970 Tony and Drama Critic's Award as Best Play. He had been married to actresses Julie Wilson and Donna Pearson. His first wife was actress Donna Pearson, and his marriage to Wilson lasted through the 1960s. He leaves surviving a son Holt, an actor. Memorial gathering at Kennedy's, 327 W. 57 St., Friday May 19. Ashes interred in Ireland 17 years after his death.

Actress-singer Julie Wilson confesses "Mike and I just wanted to slip into Omaha and get married, but it seems your friends always find out." She and Michael McAloney, New York producer of road shows will be married Saturday afternoon at the home of Dr. William II. Phelps a Presbyterian minister and friend of her family. Miss Wilson left Omaha for show business in 1942. The marriage will be the third for Miss Wilson, the second for McAloney.
