Paul Eugene Anderson, 74, of Greencastle, PA, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on July 1, 2022, with his wife and grandson, Daniel Poffenberger at his side.

Paul was born on September 3, 1947, in Bedford County, Everett, PA to the late Joseph William and Mildred Virginia (Nave) Anderson.

As a child Paul helped his parents with daily chores on their dairy farm.

Paul graduated from Everett High School in 1965. He was a welder for over 40 years. He worked for the former Grove Manufacturing, Frick Company, Sears Tire and Auto and Mack Truck. He retired from Frick Company as a supervisor in 2014.

Paul was an avid Washington Redskins and Pittsburgh Pirates fan and enjoyed many trips to PNC Park, Home of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Paul enjoyed playing on men's softball leagues in his younger days. He also enjoyed coaching his sons little league teams. Paul was also a skilled carpenter, crafting many impressive home projects over the years.

After retiring Paul enjoyed watching the deer feed in his yard and playing daily games of dominoes and cards.

Paul married his wife, Linda Lou (Rohrer) Anderson on November 4, 1979. Linda survives along with their children: Kenneth Michael Anderson, and wife Sandy of Breezewood, PA; Stacey Lee (Anderson) Palmer and husband John of Falling Waters, WV; Sean Matthew Anderson and wife Crystal of Greencastle, PA; Lisa Lynn (Poffenberger) Valentine and husband Scotty of Clearville, PA; Larry Harold Poffenberger and wife Sandy of Waynesboro, PA and Gwen May (Poffenberger) Damisch and husband Ron of Anamosa, IA; 24 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and two dachshunds Reese and Jiggy.

Paul is also survived by one brother, Charles Joseph Anderson and wife Connie of Bedford, PA and two sisters, Kathleen Elizabeth (Anderson) Vincent of Akron, OH and Mary Ann (Anderson) Beltoya and husband Gary of Kenosha, WI.

Paul was preceded in death by his brother Harold Lloyd Anderson, his son Douglas Edward Poffenberger and his dachshund Slinky.

Services will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 South Washington Street, Greencastle, with Pastor Gayle Ruble, Sr. officiating.

The family will receive friends in the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens, 3218 Philadelphia Ave, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to AVM (Arteriovenous Malformation) Research Foundation, 179 Windfair Loop, Montgomery, TX 77312.
