Final rites for Mrs. Hattie B. Atkinson, age 81, passed away at the East Boliver Hospital, were held July 4 from the Chapel of Lee Funeral Home. Rev. Abernathy officiated.
Mrs. Atkinson was born in Carroll County. She was a member of the Milligan Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Frankie Fowler Box of Winona and Mrs. R. T. Jacobs of Cleveland; one sister, Mrs. Howard Williams, Kilmichael; one brother, Woodrow Atkinson of New Orleans, Louisiana and two brothers, Frank Barrett of Greenwood and John Barrett of Indianola.
Pallbearers were Jewel Bowen, Clyde Dotson, J. W. Herring, Billy Box, W.R. Walker, E.W. Patridge and Seals Holloway. Burial was in Milligan Springs Cemetery.
