Madeline Gum Farmington Madeline Gum, 77, of Farmington, died Friday (June 25, 2004) at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown following an extended illness. She was born Aug. 18, 1926, in Webster County, the daughter of the late Ralph and Edith Price Moore. Mrs. Gum had been employed by the Drulane Co. at Idamay for several years. She also worked for Westinghouse Electric and Lupo's Hot Dogs in Fairmont and loved to play bingo, cook, and can. She was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church in Farmington. She is survived by four sons, Edward Gum Jr., Harold Gum, Donald Gum and his wife Donna, all of Farmington, and John Paul Gum of Morgantown; two daughters, Penny Kay Gum of Winchester, Va., and Judy Waugh and husband Junior of Rivesville; five brothers, Donald and Ralph Moore, both of Farmington, Jerry Moore of Mannington, Danny and Tommy Moore, both of Michigan; two sisters, Betty Rapchick of Michigan, and Judy Ramage of Farmington; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gum was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Gum Sr., on Dec. 16, 1976; and two brothers, Harold and Richard Moore, and twin brothers who died in childhood. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. today and 2-9 p.m. Sunday at the Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Scott Ingleton officiating. Interment will be in the IOOF Cemetery at Farmington.
