Final Rites Held For Mrs. Soren V. Jensen
Funeral services were conducted March 5, 1966 at 2:00 for Mrs. Mina Jensen at the Baak Funeral Home in Newell, in charge of Pastor Wm. Zinninger.
Two hymns, "Abide With Me" and "Beyond the Sunset" were sung by Marvel Olsen, accompanied by Mrs. Wm. Zinninger.
Attendants were Messrs.' Albert Bodholdt, Vernon Arends, Edward Nelsen, Edgar Piercy, Walter Nelson and Richard Ellrich.
The flower committee, Mrs. Edward Nelsen and Mrs. Clifford Olsen took care of the flowers.
Interment was in the Newell Cemetery.
Obituary
Mina Jensen, daughter of Jens P. and Ellen Hansen Nielsen was born on a farm in Coon Twp., October 12, 1893, and departed this life at the Buena Vista County hospital at Storm Lake, Iowa March 3, 1966 at the age of 72 years, 4 months and 19 days.
As a young girl Mina was baptized and united with the First Baptist church of Newell.
She was united in marriage to Soren V. Jensen in her home in Newell, May 7, 1913.
She was the sole survivor of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by her parents, a young sister and three brothers, Charles, Albert and Henry.
She is survived by her husband, Soren V. Jensen, two nieces, Mrs. Myrtle Beminio of Fort Dodge and Mrs. Marcella Alexander of Colorado Springs, Colo., a grand nephew, Frank Beminio of Fort Dodge and five sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law.
Out of town relatives who attended the services included Mr. and Mrs. Henry Alexander of Colorado Springs, Colo., Mr. and Mrs. F. F. Beminio and son Frank of Fort Dodge, Mr. and Mrs. Paul H. Wieck of Traer, Mrs. N. A. Jensen of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Carl O. Stanius of LaGrange, Illinois.
