The remains of Mr. George Dalbey, who died Monday, was interred in Oak Ridge cemetery yesterday. Appropriate funeral services were held at his late home near Riverton. There was a large attendance of neighbors whose respect and sympathy the deceased had won for himself and family by a worthy and honorable life.
The cause of Mr. Dalbey's demise was Bright's disease from which he has long been a sufferer. He was a native of Ohio, being born in Packaway county, Jan. 31, 1830. He came to Springfield about 33 years ago. He was married to Miss Jane Dozier of Cotton Hill township, on the 22d of June 1874 [sic: s/b 1864]. He was brother to John, Joel and William Dalbey.
