George was forever willing to come to the aid of a friend or neighbour with a leaking roof, a sick calf or a broken tractor. Like most farmers of his generation, he was a carpenter, mechanic and veterinarian all in one, and he shared his time and abilities without question. He was quick with a smile or praise and always had a warm hello at the ready. We will miss his sense of humour and his twinkling blue eyes.
George is predeceased by two sons: Hughie and Bruce, and two daughters: Helen and Nancy. He is also predeceased by his parents, his brothers: Dave, Glenn, Arnold and Harvey.
Funeral service was held Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Andrew?s United Church, Kinistino, SK with Major Michael Hoeft officiating.
