LANGAN - Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Lincoln for William John Langan, 82, who died Dec. 2. A native of Platte Center who moved to Lincoln in 1941, he was a retired Landy-Clark Lumberyard manager.
The Revs. Ivan Vapp and Paul Witt officiated at the funeral, with burial in Lincoln Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials to St. Patrick Church.
Born July 4, 1894, Mr. Langan was a World War I veteran. In Lincoln he was a member of the Kingsmen and Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are his wife, Leona; son, Billy; daughters, Mrs. Chester (Betty) Jensen; Lois Seewald and Mrs. Richard (Kathleen) Jensen, all of Lincoln; brothers, Mike of Monroe and Morris (sic) of Chicago; sisters, Maudie Kellog of Grays Lake, Ill., Ellen Gleason (sic) of Chicago, Margaret Arndt of Grand Island; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
