The arms of our Lord now surround the family of Mr. Calvin Bryant who passed on Monday, April 12, 2021.
Calvin was born on September 9, 1961 to Mary Bryant and the late Charlie Bryant Jr in Pavo, Ga. Calvin who was affectionally known as "Lurch" was a 1979 graduate of Central High School. He was a Rehabilitation Social Worker in Mitchell County as well as a talented carpenter before his health declined. In his spare time, he loved to fish and watch Star Trek. Calvin could also tell you anything that was going on in the world today from watching his favorite news channel MSNBC all day every day.
Calvin was preceded in death by his father and his two older sisters Teresa Williams and Alisa Williams, and a stepson Justin Hodges.
On Monday, April 12, 2021, all Calvin's pains went away when he closed his eyes for the last time to take his rest with the Lord.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted mother Mary Bryant. Siblings Annette Baldwin Sarasota, Fla, Charlie Bryant III (LaTonia) Pavo, Ga , Anthony Bryant (Colynda) Snellville, Ga, Mary Adams (Charlie) Pavo, Ga. Ronald Bryant (Janet) Moultrie, Ga, Debbie Campbell (Michael) Pavo, Ga, Carla Bryant-Gray (Alonzo), Tari Bryant (Stefanie), Jabari Bryant (Rashonda) all of Thomasville, Ga. A lifelong friend Diane Hodges, and two stepchildren Anthony and Lateshia Hodges. Calvin also leaves to cherish his memories a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a close friend more like a brother Richard Hayes.
