Abigail Pellerin Breaux was born in New Iberia, Louisiana on January 23, 1955 to the late Daniel and Martha Dubois Pellerin, and was a 1973 graduate of New Iberia Senior High. She loved children, and raised half of the kids in New Iberia at her home daycare. Known as the "New Iberia Gazette," she kept everyone up to date on the Avery Island Social Circle scoop. She loved playing Pokeno, taking trips to New Orleans, Mardi Gras balls, going to the casinos, and her dog, Daisy. She was a loving mother, sister and friend who will be deeply missed.
Mrs. Breaux is survived by two sons, Luke Breaux (Scott Myers), of Lafayette, and Yates Breaux (Anna Leach), of Youngsville; and two brothers, Clayton Pellerin (Elaine) and Bruce Pellerin (Stephanie).
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Randal Breaux.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Abigail's memory to Dupuy's Animal Hospital, 402 Jefferson Terrace Blvd., New Iberia, LA 70560, to help fund their animal rescue program.
