PORT ST. LUCIE - Morris "Les'' Chandler , 73, of Port St. Lucie died Thursday, Oct. 1, 1998.

A native of Okeechobee, he lived in Port St. Lucie for 10 1/2 years. He moved here from Melbourne.

Before retirement, he was a Navy master chief boatswain's mate, serving 27 1/2 years.

He served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam Bar.

He attended Calvary Assembly of God Church, Port St. Lucie.

He was a member of the Navy Fleet Reserve, Melbourne.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Amelia "Millie'' Chandler of Port St. Lucie; three sons, William F. Chandler of Port St. Lucie, James M. Chandler of Fort Pierce and Wade A. Chandler of Palm Bay; two daughters, Suzanne Milton of Fort Pierce and Tammy Mumma of Port St. Lucie; a brother, Warren F. Chandler of Winter Haven; three sisters, Betty Williamson of Okeechobee, Lola Carr of Fort Pierce and Irene Conrad of Atlanta; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Yates Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. A service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5, at the funeral home. The Rev. Terry Roberts of Calvary Assembly of God Church will officiate.

Burial will be in White City Cemetery, Fort Pierce. Full military honors will be conducted by the St. Lucie Honor Guard.
