Veteran of World War II. Captain - United States Army. Served in the European theatre as a platoon leader in teh 244th Engineer Combat Battalion. Graduate of Texas A & M University (1943). Mayor of Morgan's Point resor for six years and was active in the Volunteer Fire Department.

Preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Emma Yukna Berry, in 1999.
