This Blackwell family was NOT related to the more prestige's Blackwell's that were in Culpeper County, Virginia.
There is an enslaved woman named Sarah Blackwell that is found in the census records with Mumford and his wife Mary. I have DNA connections that suggest that Mumford had children with Sarah. ( A daughter named Jane and a son named John) I have not been able to find a lot of information regarding Sarah. She is connected to a Robinson family. She was born approx 1824 in Virginia. Death date has not been found. I am not sure if she stayed in Missouri after Mumford died or if she returned to Virginia.
