Ethel Allen
---Ethel L. Allen, age 85, 19077 East M-60 Tekonsha, died Tuesday, December 31, at the Marshall Provincial House.
---Mrs. Allen was born August 28, 1900, in Tekonsha to James and Jennie (Murphy) Aldrich. She had resided there all her life. She graduated from Tekonsha High School and Calhoun County Normal. For several years, she taught at the rural schools. She was married to Ilo Allen who preceded her in death.
---Mrs. Allen is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Eric (Joyce) Furu, Marshall; 4 grandchildren; one sister, Blanche Jones, Albuquerque, New Mexico; and one brother, Russell Aldrich, Tekonsha. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mrs. Norma Conant, and a brother, Harold Aldrich.
---Funeral services will be held at Putnam's Home in Tekonsha on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Ronald J. Thompson of the United Methodist Church of Marshall will be officiating. Interment will be at the Clarendon Cemetery.
---Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the TB Emphysema and Health Association (obituary research performed by Ms. Kate Keller).
