Obituaries
A. Ilo Allen
---A. Ilo Allen, 78, of 19077 M-60, Tekonsha, died Sept. 6 at Leila Post Hospital. She had been in ill health for five years.
---Mr. Allen was born in Tekonsha Township Oct. 5, 1901, son of Howard and Ethel (Aurand) Allen. He married Ethel Aldrich in Tekonsha on March 26, 1924.
---A life resident of the Tekonsha area, Mr. Allen lived and farmed on 17 1/2 Mile Road until moving to Clarendon Township in 1951. He continued to be active in farming until ill health forced him to retire in 1976.
---Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Eric (Joyce) Furu, Marshall; four grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Russell (Della) Aldrich of Tekonsha. A daughter, Norma Conant preceded him in death in 1977 and he was also predeceased by one brother, Lloyd Allen.
---Services will be Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at the Putnam Funeral Home in Tekonsha with the Rev. Harold F. Filbrandt of the Marshall United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at West Clarendon Cemetery (obituary research performed by Ms. Kate Keller).
