Mrs. Gibson was born on April 9, 1940 in Fort Wayne to Claud and Norma (Noll) Hemlinger.
She married Richard Philip Gibson on September 3, 1960 in Fort Wayne. He preceded her in death on November 11, 2021.
Along with being a homemaker and raising her family, Barbara worked in medical records for Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne for several years. She also was a volunteer EMT for the Cedar Canyon Fire Department. She and her husband also owned and operated Gibson Sports Collectable in Fort Wayne for 15 years. Barb was a member of the Auburn First United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed traveling for both pleasure and business. They would travel all over looking to add to their collection of coins, antiques and sports memorabilia. Spending time with family was important to her and she was the glue that kept the family together. Barb was a patient and very kind hearted person.

Daughter and son-in-law; Alisa and Kevin McDowell of Auburn.
Son; Philip Gibson of Auburn.
Granddaughter; Katelyn Smith of Auburn.
Sister; Anita Sullivan of Fort Wayne.
Sister; Claudia and Steve Kissinger of Fort Wayne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 62 years; Richard Gibson.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Feller and Clark Funeral Home in Auburn.
