Donald was born on January 18, 1934 to the late Donald O. and Hazel (McGee) Cotterman. He passed away at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio, on June 15, 2022.
Donald graduated from Jacksontown High School, Class of 1953. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. After his military service, Donald attended The Ohio State University for two years, majoring in engineering. He was a farmer for over 60 years and had previously worked at Roper Corporation, Sears and for the railroad. He was a prior member of Jacksontown United Methodist Church and a current member of White Chapel United Methodist Church. Donald was also a member of the Birkenfeld Reunion Association, the Licking County Farm Bureau and the Brownsville Community Seniors Group. Most importantly, was the time he spent with his loving family and friends.
Survivors include his children, Donald L. Cotterman and Sherry (Mark) Fischer; grandchildren, Lauren Fischer and Drew Fischer; sister, Jean Davis; brothers, Keith (Dorothy) Cotterman and Richard "Dick" Cotterman; close friend and caregiver, Barbara Wiseman; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Burness "Bunny" Eileen Cotterman in 2014; close friend and caregiver, Linda Myers.
