Mr. Morris was born in New Zion, Clarendon County, S. C., on July 17, 1940, a son of the late Harrison McCullum Morris and Janie Marie Barker Morris.
After graduating from the University of South Carolina, he worked at the S. C. Tax Commission, the S. C. Trade School, and retired from Midlands Technical College.
Don was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church, the Cayce-West Columbia Jaycees, and the Rotary Club of Cayce, South Carolina.
Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Betty Peach Morris; his daughter, Sharon Morris Barrs (Keith), and his son, Keith Harvey Morris (Emily); grandchildren: Katherine Renee Barrs, Jacob Morris Barrs, Lawson McCullum Morris, and Brayden Abbigail Morris; a brother, Roger William Morris (Della) of Charleston, and two sisters, Linda M. Ross and Dianne M. Stephens (Benjamin) of Dalzell; and three sisters-in-law, Lola H. Morris, Murrells Inlet, and Martha P. Morris, Beaufort, and Ann H. Morris, Centre, Alabama; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward Eula Morris, Judge James McCullum Morris, Harry Lee Morris, Olin Franklin Morris Sr. and sisters, Wanna Mary M. Elliott, Doris M. Hyde Wheeler, and Claudia Belle D. Hamby.
Graveside funeral services celebrating his life will be held at Woodridge Memorial Park on March 23, 2021, at 2:00 p. m. The Rev. Michael Bragan will officiate. Following the service, the family will greet friends at graveside.
