William Wallace Gregory, Jr., 91, husband of Wanda Hartman Gregory, of Staunton, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at his residence.
Mr. Gregory was born in Staunton, Virginia on June 11, 1931, a son of the late William Wallace Gregory and Gladys Martha (Harris) Gregory.
Mr. Gregory was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Gregory was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Earskine Gregory and Glen Austin Gregory.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of thirty-three years, are five children, William Lane Gregory, Rosemary Spicer, Sarah Louise Garrett, Debbie Gregory, and Ray Daniel Gregory (Tammy); two step-children, Gene Potter, Jr. (Patty) and Lisa Zwecker (Rudy); and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Mountain View Full Gospel Church in Afton, with a Celebration of Life following at 12:30 p.m. by Pastor Scott Jewell. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Jonathan Potter, Zachary Potter, Rudy Zwecker, and Eric Gregory. Following the service, the family will receive friends at Wanda's son, Gene's home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mountain View Full Gospel Church, 1005 Smith Road, Afton VA 22920. Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
