She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Tom; daughter, Janet Blade (Bryan) of Trabuco Canyon, Calif.; son, Chris (Sallie) of Little Rock; sister, Virginia Cornett (Jack) of Mountain Home; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lorene enjoyed an active life playing basketball, practicing yoga, climbing Pinnacle Mountain, and taking long walks in her neighborhood. She played on a Senior Women's Basketball team and walked in each of Little Rock's annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure events. She also loved crocheting afghans for family members.
Lorene retired from Superior Federal Bank after 10 years and from Southwest Airlines after 11 years of service.
A special thanks is extended to SeniorKare, Memory Care of Little Rock at Good Shepherd and Hospice Comfort Care of Little Rock for their assistance while she battled Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.
