Virgie Alice Connell, aged 75, of Harrison died Tuesday, February 11, at her home. She was born June 29, 1916 at Lone Wolf, OK, a daughter of Spaulding Ward and Alice Pearl Moore Suitor.

She was a homemaker and had moved from Sedan, NM to Boone County 39 years ago. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Harrison Art League and the Cattlemen's CowBelles.

She was survived by her husband, Chris Connell of Harrison; two sons, Virgil Connell of Austin, TX, and Donald Connell at Bullhead City, AZ; three daughters, Dolores Hughes of Lee's Summit, MO, Lorene Megee of Roland and Virginia Cornett of Mountain Home; a brother, Pat Suitor of Olney, TX; a sister, Eola Mae Goodloe of Olney; 13 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a brother, and two sisters.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Friday, February 14 at Christeson Funeral Home with Rev. Rodney Stromlund officiating. Burial was in the Auman Cemetery under the direction of Christeson Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Nolan Brisco, David Ruble, Gerald Gene Thomason, James Harness, Lynn Lair and Ralph Moeller.

Visitation was from 6 – 7:30 Thursday evening, February 13.

Memorials could be made to the American Cancer Society.
