Rebecca A. Sawyer, 47 of Plank Road, Everett, PA; passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at her sister's home. She was born on February 2, 1975 in Everett, PA; a daughter of the late Guy Lewis and E. Jean (Penrod) Karns.

She is survived by siblings Melanie Messersmith, Russell Karns and Mary Messersmith.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by grandparents Eli and Mary Hanks and Roy and Catherine Karns.

Being born on Groundhogs Day, Rebecca had a love for groundhogs. She was a 1993 graduate of the Northern Bedford County High School. She worked at Bob Evans in the retail shop as well as a cashier at Weis Markets.

Rebecca enjoyed playing computer games, was an avid Star Wars fan and loved her pets especially her chihuahua "Diego". She cherished her friendships and had a great sense of humor and maintained it throughout. The family wishes to thank her Bob Evans and Weis Markets coworkers Marlene Sipes, Jody Bowser and Vickie Clark.

She was of the Brethren Faith.

A Private Graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
