Barb grew up in Des Moines and graduated from North High School in 1969. She met Stephen Hill in 1971 at Clark's Gas Station in Des Moines, when she tried to pay for her gas a with starter check and Stephen accepted her check even when he knew it was against company policy. They were married August 16, 1974 in National City, California where Stephen was stationed. To this union five children were born; Jodie, Stephanie, Nathan, Bonnie and Katie. The couple moved to North Platte in 1987. Barb worked at the Opportunity Center for several years. She retried in the early 2000's and spent her spare time with her kids and grandkids. Barb enjoyed sewing and cake decorating. She loved to cook, bake and most of all she was known for her lasagna and Pineapple Upside Down Cake. You could find her at garage sales every Saturday morning. She spent several years on the women's pool league, even won the MVP two years in a row. Barb had an incredible love for Christ and enjoyed listening to worship music. More than anything she loved spending time with her family and attending her grandkids events. She was very loving, always giving her time to others. Many individuals called her "mom" and would to go her for advice.
She is preceded in death by her husband Stephen Hill; daughter, Stephanie Hill Soto; her parents, John and Dorothy; brothers, Steve Seals, Robert Seals, Sr., David Seals; nephew's, Arron Seals, Daniel Seals, Robert Seals, Jr.
Inurnment will follow at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Nebraska.
