Larry William Banks Sr., 69, of Pekin passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Unity Point Pekin Hospital in Pekin.

He was born on September 10, 1952 in Quincy, IL to Harold William and Catherine Lucille (Russell) Banks. He married Brenda Fay Adams on February 19, 1972 in Marquette Heights. She preceded him in death on December 26, 2013.

His parents also preceded him in death.

Surviving are his three children, Larry William (Janis) Banks Jr of Pekin, Marci (Kevin) Crawford of North Carolina, and Angela (Dan) Griffin of Havana; three sisters, Kathy Brooks, Donna Banks, and Debbie Howard; and a sister-in-law, Karen Jenkins.

Larry served in the U.S. Army from 1971 until 1978 and worked for Lockheed, Boeing, Grumman and Caterpillar. He worked last as a Tool Designer with TriC Company before retiring in 2014.

Larry enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, playing poker, restoring cars in his youth.

Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
