He was born Dec. 30, 1949, in Rockingham County, and was a son of the late Leon Lloyd and Ruth Naomi Smith Breeden.
He was a lifetime resident of the Valley and was a member of the Bear Lithia Baptist Church.
He enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing, collecting knives and spending time with his grandchildren.
On June 17, 1972, he married Sharr (Lam) Breeden, who survives.
Also surviving are sons, Trampas Breeden, Brandon Breeden and Wesley Breeden, all of Elkton; a daughter, Crystal Breeden of Port Republic; a brother, Boyd Breeden of Elkton; a sister, Faye Johnson of Verona; and 10 grandchildren.
A funeral was held Tuesday, June 20, at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton. Pastor Don Leatherman conducted the service.
Burial was in the Koontz Cemetery in Page County.
