"Roy H. Jones
HARTFORD -- Roy H. Jones, well-known Hartford civic leader, died at his residence this morning following a heart attack.

Funeral services will be at Hartford Presbyterian Church, the time to be announced by Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva.

The body will be at Pittman Funeral Home until one hour before funeral time, when it will be taken to the church.

Mr. Jones was an elder of the Hartford Presbyterian Church 30 years; a member of the Geneva County Hospital executive board and of the Coffee-Geneva Regional Library board; chairman of Hartford Charity Fund Board; and a former member of the Hartford Lions Club.

He owned and operated The Hat Shop until about eight years ago.

At the time of his death Mr. Jones was owner of Jones Insurance Agency of Hartford. He was active in bond sales.

Born in Ranger [sic] County, Tenn., he had lived at Hartford more than 30 years.

The family requests that flowers be omitted. Contributions may be made in his memory to the Presbyterian Children's Home.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Madie Jones; one brother, A. C. Jones, Atlanta; six sisters, Mrs. J. G. Patton, Mrs. W. F. Long and Mrs. W. P McGuire, Atlanta; Mrs. Harwell Smith, Montgomery; Mrs. Charlie Holtsinger, Morristown, Tenn.; and Mrs. J. A. Cragwell, Morristown, N. J.; and several nieces and nephews."
