Franklin Harold Johnson, 80, of East Peoria, IL, passed away Friday, May 27, 2022, at River Crossing of East Peoria with his friend, Joe Lowry, with him until the end.

He was born on October 3, 1941, in Bloomington, IL, to Hershel H. and Elizabeth Adrid (Small) Johnson. He married Carolyn Miller and she passed away on March 16, 2013.

Surviving are his sisters, Judy Percy of Lincoln, IL and Rebecca Lusher; and step-son, Dennis Roberson of Peoria, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-son Farrest Roberson.

Franklin was a U.S. Army Veteran. He worked as a correctional officer for the State of Illinois until his retirement. He loved cars, especially corvettes and camaros, and target shooting. Franklin always dreamed of getting a Harley Davidson motorcycle and traveling the USA.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial of Ashes will be Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL.
