Daughter of the late Paul and Beatrice (Silversack) Ruminski, Joan was born on May 15, 1940 in Two Rivers. Joan attended school in Two Rivers, graduating with the class of 1959 from Washington High School. Joan loved playing cards, especially Sheepshead. She also enjoyed the fine arts, history, reading, and loved to travel. She took great pride in continuing to live independently and drive her car.
Joan is survived by her six children: Gary (Tammy) Bruechert, NE, Brenda (Peter) Ellingboe, MI, Margaret "Peggy" (Mark) Fencl, Two Rivers, Katherine (Mark) Rademacher, Green Bay, Richard (Melinda) Bruechert, MI, Angela (Richard) Wittstruck, FL; eight grandchildren: Cody, Cortney, Brittany, Matthew, Cassandra, Breanna, Isabelle, and Natalie; five great-grandchildren. Further survived by five sisters and one brother; Mary Nochomson, KY, Ann Durocher, Two
Rivers, Richard (Donna) Ruminski, IL, Linda (Paul) Kappelman, Two Rivers, Debbie(Jerry) Caldwell, MO. Special friends: Susan Watermolen, "Tiger" Lil' Steinhauer and her Port Sandy Bay Friends. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Joan was preceded in death by her parents; one brother: Robert P. Ruinski; and one brother-in-law: Evan Durocher.
Private family services were held at the Lakeshore Family Funeral Homes, Klein and Stangel Location, Rev. Dave Pleier officiated. Joan was laid to rest at Knollwood Mausoleum.
