Born June 8, 1958, in Tifton, Mr. Powers was the son of the late Albert Lefler Powers and Barbara June Tidwell Hill. He was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Frances Marie Herlock Maupin Powers. He had worked at Kelley Manufacturing Company in Tifton for 32 years and he was a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Powers is survived by his wife, Nellie Ann Bunn Powers of Norman Park; three sons Jamie Powers and Jimmy "J.J." Powers, Jr., both of Tifton and Terrell Kelley of Norman Park; two daughters and one son-in-law, Brandy Morgan of Tifton and Tonya and Michael Dillon of Moultrie; one brother and sister-in-law Vann and Tammy Powers of Tifton; one sister and brother-in-law, Angela and Steve Moore of Ty Ty; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Bowen Donaldson Home For Funerals was in charge of arrangements.
