Albert Lefler Powers, Jr., 73, of Norman Park died Thursday, July 23, 2009 at the Medical College of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2009, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. W Fogarty will officiate with burial to follow in Tift Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Powers was born on June 26, 1936 in Wise County, Virginia and was the son of Albert Lefler Powers, Sr. and Nora Mullins Powers, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. He was truck driver and a member of the Moose Lodge in South Carolina. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
