Jan Parrish Bass of Colcord, OK, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She went to be with her Lord and was greeted with opened arms by family and friends who were awaiting her arrival. Jan was born on Easter Sunday, April 6, 1947 in Tulsa, OK to the late Ralph Parrish, Jr. and Mildred Brown Aubrey Parrish.
Jan loved to be in the kitchen and was a wonderful cook. She delighted in having huge family gatherings on the holidays. Her family and friends gave her special joy, each treasuring their special moments with her. She was very close to her mother whom she took care of for several years.
Jan was a devoted animal lover and loved riding horses with her husband, Stephen, when she found time in her busy day. She was a best friend to her children and uncommonly generous to others. She loved to crochet and knit.
In addition to her parents, Jan was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Janie Satterfield and a fur baby she loved dearly, Fred.
