Clarence Raymond Ripberger,fifty-four, died at 9:45 p.m. Monday after suffering a heart attack. Firemen were called to the office of his physician, with a pull-motor and oxygen in an effort to save the route #3 farmer.

Last rites will be conducted by Rev. Jerome Walski at 9 a. m. Thursday at St. John's church. Burial, will follow in St. John's cemetery . A rosary service is planned at 8 p. m. Wednesday at Young's Funeral home where the body will lie in state after 7 p.m. tonight.

The Tipton county native was born Aug. 8, 1901 to Francis and
Catherine (Altherr) Ripberger. One of 11 children, he resided on route 2 while a youth. On Jan. 12, 1921, he married Mary Gertrude Lawhorn-Hickner. They were the parents of seven children.

Schools the farmer attended were Hobart, northeast of Tipton,
and St. John's. He was a member of St. John's church, Holy Name society and Knights of Columbus.

Surviving with the widow a r e the children, Mrs. Phillip Myers, Mrs. Robert Comer, Raymond, James, John Pat, Richard and Betty Ripberger, One sister, Mrs. Sam Weber, eight grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.
