Former Sioux City Man, 92, Is Fatally Burned at Union, Ia.

Miles Worden, 92, a former Sioux Cityan, died Monday of burns which he suffered when he fell against a stove in his Union, Ia., home. Relatives here said they had been advised in a telephone message that the elderly man suffered a heart attack before falling against the stove. They said that Mr. Worden made his home with an elderly cousin who is crippled. There were no further details of the mishap. Funeral services for Mr. Worden, a former longtime resident of Woodbury and Plymouth counties, will be held today in Union. Burial will be in the Union cemetery. Before going to Union three years ago, Mr. Worden resided here with a son, Lloyd, 311 W. Fourth street. His wife died in 1933. Mr. Worden was born February 9, 1857, in Tama county, Iowa. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lee Montandon of Iowa Falls, Iowa, and Mrs. Ray Morse of St. Paul; two other sons, Clarence of Sioux City and Maynard of Portland, Ore.; a brother, William of Los Angeles; a sister, Mrs. Irwin Fossler of Portland, and 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
