Brian D. Kistler, 66, of Jim Thorpe, passed away Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022, at St. Luke's Carbon Campus. He was the husband of Michele M. (Muthard) Kistler, whom he married on June 1, 1991. Born in Palmerton on May 23, 1955, he was the son of the late Roy and Esther (Kibler) Kistler.

Brian was a graduate of Slatington High School, Class of 1973. He was self-employed as the owner/operator of Brian D. Kistler Roofing Inc. for 21 years, retiring in 2013. Prior to that, he worked for the Roofer Union Local 30B of Philadelphia. Brian was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was a member of the Palmerton Fishing and Hunting Association.

In addition to his wife, Michele, he is survived by a daughter, Lauren Kistler and her fiancé, Stephen Wanamaker of Lehighton; grandchildren, Blake Booth and Karlee Wanamaker; and brother, Dennis Kistler and wife, Theresa, of Slatington.

Services: A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St., Slatington. Family and friends may pay their respects from 2 to 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Brian's name may be made to the Palmerton Hunting and Fishing Association, c/o the funeral home.
