Esther C. Kistler, 93 of Walnutport, passed away Friday August 4, 2017, in Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehab Center. She was the wife of the late Roy E. Kistler. Born in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Minnie (Hunsicker) Kibler.

Esther worked for the former Ladies Garment Union, in Neffs. She also worked at the Kistler News Agency. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Slatington and their Jubilees group, and she volunteered at the second chance shop for more than 30 years.

Survivors: Sons: Dennis R. Kistler and wife Teresa of Slatington, Brian D. Kistler and wife Michele of Jim Thorpe. 1 Grandchild, 1 Great-grandchild. She was pre-deceased by siblings: Harold Hunsicker, LeRoy Mack, Walter Kibler, Mildred Parry, and Betty Delong.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday August 18, 2017 in the Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St., Slatington. Calling hour 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
