Jerry Allen Gibson, age 78 of Gretna died Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born February 15, 1944, in Pittsylvania County, he was the son of the late Herbert Anderson Gibson and Belva Hardy Gibson.
He was predeceased by a special friend, Jane Angell.
Left to cherish his memories are his two sons, Dwayne Gibson of Rustburg, and Allen Taylor & wife, Holly of Fishersville; two sisters, Inez Cook of Statesboro, GA, and Elizabeth Seyle and husband, George of Moncks Corner, SC; three grandchildren, Cody Gibson and wife, Morgan, Dusty Gibson, and Blake Taylor; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2022, at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. R.G. Rowland. Burial will follow in Wetherford Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2022, at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home. Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, Gretna is assisting the family.
