AGED MAN DEAD
E. M. Moore, of Beechwoods, Passed Away last Saturday.
E. M. Moore, one of the sturdy old settlers in Beechwoods, brother of Mrs. Annie Best, of Reynoldsville, died at his home in Warsaw on Saturday evening, September 24, 1904. Dropsey was cause of death; Miles was born in Centre Co., Pa., Aug. 27, 1821*, and was 83 years old at time of death. In 1833, when 12 years old, his parents moved to Beechwoods where the deceased resided about fifty years and then moved to Warsaw. In 1851 Miles Moore was married to Hannah Satterly, who with three sons and one daughter, survive the deceased. The children are: Eugene Moore, of Brookville, Herbert Moore, of Punxsutawney, Albert Moore, at Home, and Mrs. Isaac Chamberlain, of Warsaw. Besides his wife and children Mr. Moore is survived by three brothers and two sisters: Andrew Moore, of Warsaw, Jacob R. and David B. Moore, of Washington township, Mrs. Annie Best of Reynoldsvile, and Mrs. Nancy Gall of Perryville.
Funeral service was held at the family residence Monday forenoon, conducted by pastor of the Allen's Mills Baptist Church, and internment was made in the Beechwoods Cemetery.
