Ozark, Servives for O. Murlin Swearengin, 66, a lifelong Dogwood community resident, were at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Pleasant Ridge Bapitist Church with the Rev.Roy Cantrell and Tom Smith officiating. Burial was in Dogwood Cemetery. Mr. Swearengin died at 2:27 a.m. Sunday morning in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Joan Workman, Seymour after a seven-month illness. Survivors other than Mrs. Ida Workman include three other daughters , Mrs. Betty Fitzgerald and Mrs. Janis Preston, both of Sparta and Mrs. Peggy Grimes, Rogersville, four sons, Tommy of Joplin, James and Dean, both of Sparta and Dwight, of Seymour; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Williams, Springfield, Mrs. Lou McHaffie, Bruner and Mrs. Wilma Haynes, Ava; and 20 grandchildren.
