Matthew D. Hammond, 22, of 922 E. Jackson died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, in Cuba, Ill.
He was born July 12, 1985, in Gillette, Wyo., to David and Linda (Johnson) Hammond. He married Keisha Davis on Nov. 8, 2007, in Lewistown. She survives.
Surviving are one son, Jayden Hammond; his mother, Linda (Donald) Roth of East Peoria; his father, David (Lucinda) Hammond of St. David; two sisters, Kimberly Hammond of East Peoria and Miranda Prescher of Cuba; one brother, Benit Roth of East Peoria; maternal grandparents, James and Lucille Johnson of Creve Coeur; paternal grandparents, Ronald and June Hammond of Canton; and one niece, Trinity Fuller.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Nancy Williams.
