Wendy was born on August 18, 1983 in Wisconsin Rapids to Trudy Savage. Shortly after birth, Wendy was adopted by Vernon "Butch" and Sandra A. Savage. Wendy was last employed as a bartender in Madison. She was the proud mother of Devon Rae Ann Bristol and Lily Mae Rhodes.

Wendy won many awards from the 4-H program she was involved with and enjoyed painting, making ceramics, unicorns, horses, butterflies and doing the unicorn spit.

Wendy was a bartender at a variety of bars. She really enjoyed making people happy and welcome, as she always had a smile on her face. Wendy was very accepting, as she treated everyone the same no matter who they were or what their values were. Being so accepting, she had many caring friends who supported her throughout her journey in life. Wendy loved horses, unicorns, and many other creatures. Her favorite shows were The Last Unicorn and the Never Ending Story. She named her dog Falkor after the dragon in the Never Ending Story. Unfortunately, Falkor passed away 2 years ago in May of 2020. Wendy was devastated and soon adopted her dog, Morty. She also enjoyed reading books, as her favorite childhood series was the Goosebumps collection. Wendy enjoyed playing organ and Piano. She was an avid Pittsburg Steelers Fan. Wendy loved cooking and she was really good at it. She also really enjoyed music by Jason Isbell and going to his concerts.

She is survived by her mother Trudy Savage, adoptive parents Vernon "Butch" (Sandy) Savage, daughters Devon Rae Ann Bristol and Lily Mae Rhodes, brothers Gregg (Kim) Savage Justin Savage, nieces Maya Savage, Adelynn Savage and nephew Brighton Pogodzinski, godparents Mark Guse and Sharon Kizewski. She is further survived by her friend Ryan Nelson and beloved dog Morty.

Wendy was preceded in death by her brothers Wade Savage and Jason Savage, grandparents Rosie (Jolene) Savage and Joe (LaVerne) Guse.

Memorials may be designated to Wendy's children in consideration of their future financial needs.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at St. Mary's Hospital and Palliative/Hospice Care in Madison for the excellent care given to Wendy.
