Robert P. Morris, 93, of Montpelier VA passed away at home on Sunday May 22, 2022. He was a true southern gentleman, a Korean War vet, and a Master Mason for more than 50 yrs. He retired from VDOT in 1991 with over 43 years of service, served on the board of directors of the Virginia Credit Union VACU and taught engineering classes at RPI.
He is preceded in death by his parents Earl and Annie Morris, his brother Grey Morris and sister Mary Foster.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Yoland Morris; his son, Tommy Bourne (Amy); and grandchildren Walker and Preston Bourne. One nephew Donnie Morris and a niece Linda Reichard.
A visitation will be held Thursday May 26, 2022 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm at Lacy Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11am, Friday May 27, 2022 at Hopeful Baptist Church with Rev. Barry Tucker officiating. Graveside services will follow in Hopeful Baptist Church Cemetery.
