Born October 4, 1944, in Oakland, she was the daughter of the late Noah Bittner and Myrtle (Uphold) Bittner. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Ernest Bittner and five sisters, Janet Duggins, Edith Bittner, Hazel Stewart, Jessie Glotfelty, and Mary L. Bittner.
Carol was a homemaker and loved listening to old country music and watching old westerns. She graduated from Southern Garrett High School and was a very kind and caring person.
She is survived by one son, Jeremy Scott Vance, McHenry, MD; three brothers, Herbert, Warren, and Wayne Bittner, all of Ohio; two sisters, Loretta Ridder and Dorcas Kitzmiller, both of Oakland; her special niece, Brenda Beckman, Oakland; her special friend of 38 years, Robert Friend, Oakland; and several nieces and nephews.
