Services for Leola Rose Porter will be Saturday at Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Chapel. Interment will be at Enville Cemetery.
Mrs. Porter was born July 11, 1911, at Enville, to James and Mary McCurtain. She died May 9, 2000, in a local health care facility.
She had lived in Ardmore since 1941, moving here from Enville, and was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Mose Ned and Clarence Porter; and two daughters, Mary Boston and Mildred L. Ned.
Survivors include two sons, William Ned and Carns Porter, Ardmore; a daughter, Winnie McNeely, Ardmore; a sister, Lena Farve, Marietta; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as bearers.
