Phillip Leon Barkley, age 79, of La Russell, passed away May 15th, 2022.
He was born August 28th, 1942, in Dinuba, CA to Leo Harold Barkley and Philma L. (Mahy) Barkley.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Harold Barkley; mother, Philma Lucille (Mahl) Gray; sons, Brian and Darren Leonard Barkley; brother, Harold "Bud" Barkley; and sister, Beverly Ann "Bev" (Barkley) Turnage.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Nina; son, Eric and wife Ella of Ratliff City, OK; daughter, Penny and husband Chris of Granby, MO; and daughter, Michelle and husband Landon of Mount Vernon, MO; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth, James, Christie, Kaleb, Hayden, Taylor, Amanda; and great-grandchildren, Dante, Addalyn, Emma, and Maverleigh.
Phil was an avid fisherman and gardener. He also knew his way around the pool table and loved a little friendly competition. He will be dearly missed by family and friends. Memorial information will be announced at a later date.
