GEORGE WILLIAM KLIE 1922 - 2008 Passed away peacefully with his daughters at his side on Sunday, January 13, 2008 at Lanark Heights in Kitchener at age 85. George will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Nancy (Fraser) Gibson, Janet (John) Zryd, Barbara (Barry) Smith, Cathie (Bruce) Ritter and son-in-law, Bob (Gertrude) Stevens. Proud grandfather of Scott (Jasmine) Gibson, Sara (Ross) McDermott, Jenny Stevens, Andrea Sidwell, Bradley and Brent Smith and Nickolas Mula and great-grandfather to Ella McDermott and Sam Sidwell. George was predeceased by his wife, Eva; daughter, Peggy Stevens and brothers, Vernon, Carl, Harry and Fred. He is survived by his sister, June Kropf and brother, John Klie. George farmed his entire life in the Bridgeport area. He was a lifetime member of Bridgeport United Church and Bridgeport Lions Club. George enjoyed bowling, fishing, golf and horseshoes. Family and friends are invited to share their memories of George with his family during memorial visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home , 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, January 18, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The memorial service to celebrate George's life will be held at Bridgeport United Church, 40 Bridge St. W., Kitchener on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 2 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Interment in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
