Billye Joyce "Aunt Billye" Perry Cardwell

Funeral services for Billye Joyce "Aunt Billye" Perry Cardwell, 72, of Conroe, Texas will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2005 at 2 P.M. at the Living Word Church on Loop 336 South in Conroe with Pastor Harold Morton officiating. Interment will follow in the Pilgreen Cemetery under the direction of Conroe Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, September 9, 2005 from 4:00 P.M. until 8 P.M. Mrs. Cardwell was born on April 26, 1933 in Wigginsville, Texas and was ushered into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 4, 2005 in Conroe, Texas. Billye was a member of Conroe Crockett High School Class of 1951. She was also a charter member of Grangerland Baptist Church and a longtime member of Maranatha Church in Mt. Belview where she found great joy in serving as a children's Sunday school teacher and adult prayer counselor before her move back to the Conroe area in the mid 80's. Billye was the office manager for Wiggins Paving and Material for the last 20 years and helped many people with her income tax service. Aunt Billye literally lived to be able to help and bless her family and friends and to support the spreading of the Gospel. Her kindness and her prayers touched many people around the world. She was also an accomplished artist whose paintings now adorn many homes and offices throughout the area. And she had recently authored and illustrated a Christian story book for children. Mrs. Cardwell was preceded in death by her parents: John H. Perry and Lockie Harell; husband, Charles N. Cardwell; sister, Alma Perry Coleman; brother, Jack Perry, nephew Randy Grisham, and step father J.O. Harrell. She is survived by her son, Jack Cardwell and wife, Tammy; daughter, Teresa Casey and husband Eddie; brother, Raymon Harrell and wife, Sandra; sister, Audrey Grisham and husband, Ronald A.; grandchildren, Sarah Casey, Thomas Cardwell and wife, Sheree, Clinton Casey and wife, Bela, and Terry Cardwell; great grandsons, Dylan Casey and Connor Cardwell; nieces and nephews, John Coleman, Terrie Coleman, Susan King and husband, C.B., Toby Harrell and wife, Monica; and Kathy Bible. grand nieces, Jamie Wilson and Natkita Lloyd. Grand nephews, Jessie King and Quest Grisham; cousins, Jerry and Brenda Wiggins. Pallbearers: Thomas Cardwell, Terry Cardwell, Clinton Casey, Jessie King, Quest Grisham, and John Amos Wiggins. The family wishes to express special thanks to: caregiver, Dorris Mitchell; Pastor and Mrs. Harold Morton and special friends who have blessed our beloved over the years and to Maranatha Church and Pastor Ronnie Trice, Living Word Church, Wigginsville Victory Tabernacle, Kenneth Gore and all who have prayed for our loved one during her recent illness.
