Alma Perry Coleman
Funeral services for Alma Perry Coleman, 79, of Conroe, Texas will be held on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003, at 3 p.m. in The Wigginsville Victory Tabernacle in Grangerland with the Rev. Harold Morton officiating. Interment will follow in the Pilgreen Cemetery under the direction of Conroe Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends at Conroe Funeral Directors on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Mrs. Coleman was born on Sept. 21, 1923, in Wigginsville, Texas and was ushered into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sept. 18, 2003, in Conroe, Texas. Alma was a graduate of Conroe Crockett High School Class of 1940. She was a Charter Member of Grangerland Baptist Church, a 1982 graduate of the City of Light School of Ministry, and served as a Prayer Counselor for the "700 Club." Alma blessed many thousands of people in recent years, with the beautiful handpainted "Blessing Angels," that she made, prayed over and gave to individuals as a ministry for the Lord. She was devoted to her family and friends and to supporting the spreading of the Gospel. Alma was also an accomplished artist whose paintings now adorn many homes and offices throughout the area. She was preceded in death by her parents, John H. Perry and Lockie Harrell; her husband, John H. Coleman; infant son, Darrell; second husband, Steve Neer; brother, Jack Perry; nephew, Randy Grisham and step-father J.O. Harrell. She is survived by her son, John Coleman; daughter, Terrie Coleman; brother, Raymon Harrell and wife, Sandra; sister, Billye Cardwell, sister, Audry Grisham and husband, Ronald A.; nephews and nieces, Jack Cardwell and wife, Tammy, Teresa Casey, Susan King and husband, C.B., and Toby Harrell; grand nieces, Sarah Casey, Jamie Carter and Natkita Grisham; grand nephews, Thomas Cardwell, Terry Cardwell, Clinton Casey, Quest Grisham and Jessie King. The family wishes to express special appreciation to Dr. Powell and the staff at Crown of Texas Hospice, Pastor Harold Morton, special caregivers, Candy Villareal and Dorris Mitchell, to Ministers, Billy Usher, Guine Anderson, and Anieta Paige, to the Wiggins Family and all who have prayed for and blessed our beloved during her illness.
