Floy Adams Brady was born in Marianna, Arkansas, on November 12, 1920, to Ralph and Floy Higginbottom, and died on July 2, 2016. She graduated from Lula-Rich High School, where she played on the basketball team. She worked at The Clarksdale Printing Company and the County Extension Office before marrying Joel Randolph Adams, Jr. After Joe's death, she married Willis John Brady. She was predeceased by both husbands. Following Mr. Brady's death, she resided in Gainesville, Florida, to be near her daughter.
Mrs. Brady leaves two children: Lucia Adams Madey (John) of Gainesville, Florida, and Joel Randolph (Randy) Adams, III, (Carol), of Cape Coral, Florida. She leaves 3 grandchildren: Mary Floy Speights of Gainesville, Florida, William Lee Stevens, Jr. of Memphis, Tennessee, and Amanda Adams Jensen of Grand Junction, Colorado. She also leaves 3 great grandchildren: John Michael and Sophia Elizabeth Speights of Gainesville, Florida, and Caleb Joel Parde of Grand Junction, Colorado.
Graveside services are Thursday July 7, 2016 at 3:30pm at Oakridge Cemetery in Clarksdale, MS. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS is handling the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Clarksdale, Mississippi.
